Company Info
CleanCities.com is a pioneer in the development of fleet industry services for transportation, energy and environmental projects.
With over 20 years of extensive experience in the procurement and management of fleet vehicles, we have specialized in providing customized professional support to fleet administrators, original equipment manufacturers, utilities and a diverse group of clean-emission vehicle stakeholders.
History
In 1990, the U.S. Small Business Administration certified AutoFlex, Inc., the parent company of Cleancities.com, as a qualified and experienced supplier of fleet industry products and financial services. In 1992, AutoFlex became the first minority-owned company to manage a multi-million dollar commercial leasing portfolio on the GSA Federal Supply Schedule. As a result, AutoFlex has established a proven track record, and a nationwide network of resources that has enabled us to deliver and perform into all fifty United States.
Our qualifications are extensive and reflect the depth of our expertise. It is our established relationship with major automakers, dealerships, utilities, financial institutions and various industry professionals that allows us to offer our experience and resources to individual citizens, large and small businesses, and other interested parties beyond the Government fleet markets.
Why we do it
The nation's most severe air pollution problems are typically found in urban metropolitan areas.
According to the Environmental Protection Agency and the American Lung Association, motor vehicle emissions are responsible for lung damage, shortness of breath, respiratory diseases and heart conditions. Urban areas are those most affected by air quality that does not comply with national air quality standards for particulate matter, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide and ozone.
Urban air pollution is caused primarily by tailpipe emissions from automobiles, trucks, buses and other types of motor vehicle transportation.
Many of us are unaware of the seriousness of this problem. As a result, we drive automobiles and trucks that are not friendly to the environment or to the air we breathe. Rush hour traffic generates air pollution consisting of volatile organic compounds that cause respiratory diseases and other health risks. Citizens, in particular, children and elderly adults living within our major cities and surrounding communities are exposed.
At Cleancities.com, we recognize the importance of encouraging fleets and individual commuters to make a difference in the quality of air that we breathe. Part of the air quality solution is as simple as driving clean-emission vehicles.
We also recognize that solutions must be convenient, cost-effective, and without major sacrifice in order for them to be generally accepted. Luckily technology is catching up with air quality demands, ensuring that clean emissions solutions can be found without sacrificing price, convenience, or utility.
Researchers have found that a high percentage of the minority population lives within urban areas that do not comply with air quality standards.
We believe that air pollution is not only an environment problem, but is also a problem of fairness and equity. At Cleancities.com, we believe in the vision of a cleaner urban environment with healthier air for everyone.
The goal of Cleancities.com is to serve as a conduit to assist our customers in finding practical clean emissions transportation solutions that will have real and positive impacts on the quality of air and quality of life.
A lot depends on what you drive!
